Electrical Engineering( Under Graduate)

VISION:

To produce motivated, responsible, competitive and creative graduates with sound technical knowledge and innovative skills in the field of Electrical Engineering to serve the nation by fulfilling the needs of society and industry.

 MISSION:

  1. To apply basic fundamentals of maths and science to solve electrical engineering problems.
  2. To apply engineering software skills like MATLAB to solve various electrical engineering problems through simulation.
  3. To carry out design, testing and maintenance of the various electrical equipments.

Power Electronics Lab

Power Electronics Laboratory is dealing with the Electronics applications to the Electrical engineering. The Laboratory contains the Various Trainer Kits and Electric drives. The Trainer Kits include the MOSFET Characteristics, DIAC Characteristics, TRAIC Characteristics, SCR Characteristics, IGBT characteristics, Single phase bridge rectifier with different loading condition, various commutation circuits and different firing circuits.

      It includes all panels on which performance of following experinments can be done such as Overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, Earth fault protection and over current protection. Students will also get exposure of construction and working of Electromechanical relay and static relay.

 It includes all bridges and Thermocouple set up which includes performance on Measurement of low resistance by Kelvins double bridge, Measurement of voltage, current and resistance using dc potentiometer, Measurement of inductance by Maxwells bridge, Hays bridge, Anderson bridge,Measurement of capacitance by Owens bridge, De Sauty bridge, Schering bridge

It includes equipments like CRO, Multimeter etc.
