Ø Designed a miniature type Diamond Anvil Cell (DAC) Ø Designed a UV-VIS-NIR (200 - 2000 nm)spectrometer system for ü measurement of pressure generated inside DAC by ruby fluorescence technique and ü Optical measurements on solid samples loaded in DAC at different pressure. Ø Grown several single crystals (TaS2, TaSe2, ZnS, ZnSe, ZrS3, ZrSe3, PbS, PbSe, SnS, SnSe, MoS2, MoSe2, WS2, WSe2 and several others) by Chemical Vapour Transport (CVT) technique Ø Studied pressure depended optical and electrical properties of these single crystals. Ø Conversant with material characterization techniques, such as, X-ray Diffraction (XRD), UV-VIS-NIR absorption spectroscopy, photoluminescence measurement and optical microtopog-raphy and with electrical measurement techniques, such as, resistivity, thermo-power and Hall-Effect. |
